What is Filmmaker mode?
Filmmakers, Hollywood studios, consumer electronics companies and the UHD Alliance have collaborated to make this next-level home theater viewing experience possible. By disabling all post-processing (e.g. motion smoothing) and preserving the correct aspect ratios, colors and frame rates, Filmmaker Mode enables your TV to display the movie or television show’s content precisely as it was intended by the filmmaker.

Factory Calibrated Out-of-the-Box Color Accuracy
Enjoy color accurate performance from day one, with W1800’s guaranteed 100% Rec. 709 coverage with Delta E<3*. Each projector is factory tested and adjusted for D65 color temperature, gamma, black level, white level, neutral grey, RGBCMY color tracking, hue, saturation, brightness and output based on ITU-R Rec. 709. All data is then compiled in an individual factory calibration report included with each W1800.
*Delta E quantifies the difference between a reference color and the projector’s actual color based on L*a*b* coordinates to represent “a difference in sensation.” Delta E<3 performance means virtually no perceptible color difference to the human eye. (Delta E<3 performance enabled in D. Cinema modes.)
