Having witnessed the Sony Projector 9 (XW8100ES) firsthand at Essential Install Live, our team was unanimously impressed. This projector exceeded our expectations in every way, showcasing the power of the XR processor. A demo clip from “A Star Is Born” highlighted the projector’s ability to capture intricate details, even in challenging scenes. The metallic mesh of the onstage microphone was remarkably visible, emphasising the projector’s exceptional clarity.
Additional demos featuring native 4K content further demonstrated the projector’s capabilities. Colors were vibrant and accurate, black levels were deep and rich, and whites were bright without being clipped.
Gamers will appreciate the Projector 9’s 4K 120fps at a 12ms input lag, along with Auto Low Latency Mode, ensuring smooth and responsive gameplay. With two HDMI 2.1 compatible inputs, users can connect multiple devices for immersive gaming experiences.
The Sony Projector 9’s ACF (Advanced Crisp Focus) lens, featuring a 70mm aspherical front element, expands the focus area for crystal-clear images from corner to corner.
