Audio visual company Christie has announced the launch of a new series of laser projection system platform and products.

The firm revealed that the Christie CP42LH (Cinema), Christie D4K60LH (ProVenue) and Christie Mirage 4KLH (Immersive Environments) models are all being made available.

Don Shaw, senior director of product management at Christie, explained that the company's RGB laser systems are "setting new standards for incredible brightness, wider colour gamut and astounding contrast".

He added that this is because they can produce from 5,000 to 60,000 lumen brightness, as well as 4K resolution. Mr Shaw went on to describe the Rec. 2020 colour space by Christie as the best colour reproduction in the industry.

"With this announcement Christie redefines what the world's best shared experiences are capable of, by increasing performance and capabilities across multiple applications and markets," said the Christie representative.

The Christie laser projection system that has been used in all of the newly launched models has been based on a scalable laser light source, while buyers are also given a choice of projection heads.

Christie's goal with the system is to produce high brightness levels, as well as exceptional colour, through its high bit depth 4K resolution imaging engine.

All of Christie's projection heads and Christie Freedom laser illumination systems have been made available for purchase through Christie and its authorised partners.
