Superb Image Quality
Revolutionary Laser Technology
BenQ, the world’s #1 DLP brand, introduces a full line of innovative projectors featuring proprietary DLP high brightness laser technology for large venue applications. Combining high brightness, excellent image quality, installation flexibility and a maintenance-free laser light source, BenQ Laser Projectors enable immersive public displays and innovative visual communication in ways never before possible.
Zero-deviation alignment of laser diodes boosts luminous flux into the light tunnel, improving light efficacy.
Dual synchronised colour wheels utilise an additive yellow segment, stimulating precise RGBY spectra for optimal chromatic performance.
Comprising over two million micromirrors that reflect pure light through the colour wheel, the DLP chip is hermetically sealed to resist heat for over 200,000 hours without degradation.
Dual Colour Wheels Produce 95% Rec.709 Colour Coverage for Optimal Colour Performance
To harness the high output of the powerful laser light source, BenQ engineers utilised dual colour wheels for laser projectors to significantly achieve laser-precise RGBY colour by eliminating the white segment of a conventional colour wheel. Through an ideal mixture of the red, green, blue and yellow colour segments, BenQ laser projectors produce brilliant colour and a wider colour gamut than conventional lamp-based projectors.
Ultra-High Contrast with Automatic Power Control
BenQ laser projectors directly control light output for faster response and strikingly clear images at a super-high contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1. Additionally there are automatic brightness adjustments to retain clarity and subtle details in dark scenes and balance in bright scenes.
WUXGA Resolution for Enhanced Detail and Expanded Content
With an impressive WUXGA (1920 x 1200) native resolution that far exceeds Full HD 1080p, BenQ’s LU9800 laser projector offers greater detail and stunning clarity image when high resolution images are projected.
Custom Light Mode to Ensure Consistent Brightness Blending
Custom Light Mode modulates light power output from 40% to 100% under a scale of 80 steps, optimising the projected image in a variety of ambient lighting situations. It is especially useful for blending consistent brightness across multiple projections.
Guaranteed Performance for 20,000 Hours
BenQ laser projectors deliver 20,000 hours of superior image quality and performance. The laser light source resists colour decay over time, making BenQ laser projectors ideal for multiple blending projections without concern for adjacent projectors generating different levels of brightness after a period of operation.
BenQ laser light source supports continuous 24/7 operation and is suitable for public display applications in museums and exhibitions. Users can choose from three different light source modes to optimise energy consumption and delivers up to 70,000 hours under Dimming Mode.
DLP Technology for Vibrant Colour Endurance
BenQ laser projectors are based on the absolute reliability of 1chip DLP design. The highly durable DLP chip is rated to last over 100,000 hours without degradation, ensuring true-to-life colours and pristinely legible text for countless uses.
Superior Dustproofing for Severe Conditions with IP5X Certification
BenQ laser projectors are designed with sealed laser modules and enclosed light engines to protect the DMD chip, colour wheel sensor, laser bank and other optical components. This lock-and-key design hermetically seals the engine from dust* and high thermal conductivity metallic fluid controls engine operating temperature to prolong projector lifespan. * Dust chamber test standard: JIS Class
Excellent Installation Flexibility
Multiple Lenses for Diverse Applications
BenQ’s LU9800 projector is compatible with multiple electrical optional lenses to maximise throw ratio coverage. These all-glass optics, made in Japan, eliminate chromatic aberration and colour flare for utmost image quality. Maximise installation options and projection layout with a quick one-button release. Changing lenses is now simple and secure.
Factory White Balance Calibration
BenQ exclusive white balance adjustments can reduce white balance variables between images projected from different projectors to such a low level that the most people cannot see any difference. This allows for seamless and accurate picture quality without disruptive discrepancies and save time in adjusting color when installing projectors.
360° and Portrait Projection Accommodate Different Spaces
BenQ laser technology guarantees reliable projection from any angle. Dynamic installation options such as 360° rotation and portrait applications, allows projection onto ceiling, walls, floors or angled signage.
Motorised Zoom, Focus, Lens Shift and Memory
The convenience and wide range of the powered zoom, focus and horizontal/ vertical lens shift systems deliver perfectly proportioned images despite installation or placement challenges in any venue. Customisable memory enables multiple settings to be conveniently recalled to optimise projection characteristics to a variety of content and application.
Large 2D Keystone and Corner Fit for Perfectly Aligned Images
Digital Keystone enables you to easily correct for vertical projector tilt, or if the projector is not square to the screen. With a few simple taps on the remote, you can adjust the image so that it properly fills your screen. BenQ’s corner fit technology enables you to identify and adjust the images to stretch or pull back the image to the four corners of your screen.
BenQ laser projectors are compatible with Creston, AMX and PJ Link control systems for convenient system integration with various third-party components and reduced cost to centrally maintain multiple projectors.
LAN Control and Firmware Upgrade
BenQ Large Venue Projectors are widely compatible with leading projector control systems including Extron, Crestron, AMX and PJ-Link for network control via LAN, making it simple to integrate into corporate network infrastructures. When there is no LAN infrastructure, LU9800 also supports RS-232 for reliable long-distance Installations up to 15 meters.
Centralised Control with BenQ MDA Software
BenQ centralised control software is a management tool for computers that enables remote and centralised management of multiple digital projectors by IT administrators/ technicians via a local network. The management capabilities include the ability to remotely monitor, control, and configure projectors individually or as groups.
HDBaseT for Uncompressed Transmission Up to 100m and Control
LU9800 is equipped with groundbreaking HDBaseT connectivity combines video, audio, RS-232 and LAN signal control signals from multiple sources including: PCs, laptops, document cameras, Blu-ray and DVDs onto a single RJ-45 cable. This ensures seamless transmissions up to 100 meters.
