Hisense Projectors - Frequently Asked Questions
Are Hisense Projectors any good?
Hisense projectors are generally well regarded. Great build quality and choice of materials and finish providing a premium feel. They offer a strong combination of features and performance for their price, especially their Short throw and Ultra Short Throw (UST) models. They excel in providing a large-screen, cinematic experience, with sharp and colourful images, even supporting HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR10+ in some models.
Is the Auto Screen Fit feature on the C2TUK any good?
The C2TUK’s auto-screen fit is a significant convenience feature, allowing users to enjoy a well-adjusted image quickly and easily. While it may not eliminate the need for manual fine-tuning in all situations, it significantly streamlines the setup process, making the projector a user-friendly and versatile option.
Is there anything I should bear in mind when using the Auto Screen fit feature to achieve the best results?
When using the auto screen fit on your Hisense C2TUK, a dark border around the screen is beneficial.
- The Benefit of a Dark Border: A dark border, especially a black one, enhances the perceived contrast of the projected image. It provides a visual frame that helps the auto screen fit function accurately detect the screen’s edges and align the image correctly. This is because the dark border absorbs any light spill that falls outside the screen area, preventing it from interfering with the sensor’s readings and minimising light bleed.
- Accuracy: Without a dark border, the auto screen fit might have a harder time accurately detecting the edges of the screen, potentially leading to image misalignment
- Room Lighting: Minimising ambient light becomes even more important in the absence of a border to help the auto screen fit function accurately detect the screen’s edges without interference from stray light
- Manual Adjustments: You may find that you need to make more manual adjustments to fine-tune the image alignment after the auto screen fit feature has run.
If you are using your C2TUK with a dedicated projector screen, your screen will naturally have a black border so the only things you need to ensure whilst the auto screen feature is running is :
- The initial projected image to be corrected is larger than the intended projected screen size and fully covers the area to begin with.
- Ambient light is kept to a minimum
- No direct light (daylight through windows as an example) is hitting the screen during set up.
