USB active extension cables allow users to extend the connection distance between two USB devices. These cables feature integrated active electronics to boost the signal for high speed data transfer.

The Lindy USB 3.1 Gen 2 Active Cable uses built-in active electronics to extend the cable length of a USB 3.1 device by an additional 5m whilst continuing to support fast and efficient data transfer rates of up to 10Gbps. This cable allows Type C devices such as flash drives, smartphones, tablets or high bandwidth USB devices like webcams to be connected at longer distances with no compromise on data transfer speeds. It is ideal when the Type C input device is hard to repeatedly access or when connecting USB devices that can be used at a distance such as multi-interface Type C hubs.
