Epson EB-760WI

The interactive system is what separates the Epson EB-760Wi from the projector it is based on. Two pens come in the box, with spare tips, and the projector will run as a digital whiteboard on its own: draw, annotate over any source, then save, print or email the result without a computer being involved at all. Adding the optional finger touch module takes it further, supporting up to eight people working on the board at once. For a classroom or a training room, that removes the separate interactive display from the budget and puts the same capability on whatever wall is available.


The optics are ultra short throw at 0.27:1, which is what makes interactivity practical, since the person at the board is never standing in the light path castinga shadow on to the projected image. One limit to plan around: the EB-760Wi projects up to 150 inches normally but the interactive features work between 60 and 100 inches, so the screen size has to be chosen for the way the room will actually be used. Zoom is digital rather than optical and keystone adjustment runs to only 3 degrees, so accurate mounting matters. Elsewhere it is generously specified: three HDMI inputs, wired and wireless networking, Miracast, and a 16W speaker, with a laser rated at 20,000 hours measured to half output and a five year UK warranty.

Interactive technology enables two digital pens to be used simultaneously on the display (finger touch available through optional accessory FT01). Presentations can be controlled and brought to life with on-screen annotations, while a variety of convenient built-in tools support productivity. An optional Epson visualiser camera can be controlled via the display, projecting documents or objects from a desk for everyone to see in incredible HD detail.

The ultra short throw lens allows safe, discreet positioning above the display, enabling presenters free access to interact without casting shadows.

With a 4,100 lumens laser-light source, combined with 3LCD technology, it produces a large, bright and vibrant display up to 100″, visibly clear from all angles and at a distance.

Versatile wired and wireless connectivity options, including screen mirroring via Miracast™, allow participants to effortlessly share content from their PCs or mobile devices.

Unlike a flat-panel display, there is no heavy, breakable, glass panel to create disruptive, reflected blind spots from certain angles, and presenters are not subjected to LCD panel direct blue light radiation, believed to damage eyes.
