The world's first 3-chip DLP projector with LED illumination has gone into production and is set to launch at the IITSEC 2013 conference.
Developed over two years in partnership with Texas Instruments, Digital Projection International (DPI) has announced that the TITAN WUXGA LED 3D will provide long-life illumination with simulation-oriented display.
Aimed at the simulation and virtual reality markets, the TITAN LED is the brightest LED projector available worldwide, providing 2000 lumens and over 60,000 hours of consistent illumination through it's high quality LED technology.
The TITAN WUXGA LED 3D projector, which projects to a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200, is based on Texas Instruments' 3-chip DLP technology and is therefore free of the single-chip colour artefacts often found within single-chip DLP displays.
For those requiring IR capabilities, the TITAN LED is also available with dual input control, which gives users the ability to display two streams of video simultaneously.
The lamp-free LED technology behind the TITAN WUXGA LED 3D enables maintenance-free operation, reducing costs of ownership and eliminating the need for lamp replacement. The LED features also provide simulation-oriented display without generation of excessive heat or noise.
