Audio-visual specialist Vivitek has unveiled a host of new additions to its catalogue of projectors, in a comprehensive overhaul of its flagship models.
The company, which prides itself in the environmental innovation that goes into its products, staged the global launch of the range at the InfoComm 2010 trade fair in Las Vegas this week. The new models feature increased portability, higher lumens, 3D-Ready technology via DLP® Link™, as well as 1080p widescreen capabilities.
The range includes the D7 Series of appliances. These are extreme-purpose projectors for intense usage, capable of combining the shortest throw projections with impressive color reproduction and excellent picture performance.
Also launched was a new range of large venue specific projectors, which features high-performance projectors with dual-lamp switching technology and interchangeable lenses and colour wheels to enhance demanding video applications.
Senior product manager for Vivitek, Christopher Yang, said, "We’re launching products that fill every type of projector need and provide presentation solutions. From extreme short-throw projectors to 3D-ready products, Vivitek has a projector for everyone."
The company also displayed the capabilities its 3D projectors at InfoComm in a joint display with XpanD Cinema. XpanD provided a range of 3D content and its 3D X-102 active glasses, to highlight how 3D can be put to use in both entertainment and education.
