Visual display products Vivitek has released a new projector aimed at the education market.
The company claims that the D755WTIR takes interactivity in the classroom to a new level and, as it can be combined with an interactive whiteboard, it could boost collaboration.
Holger Graeff, general manager of Vivitek EMEA, stated that the demand for new display solutions that can engage students in new ways has been increasing as the expansion of technology both inside and outside the classroom continues.
He said: "The exciting thing about the D755WTIR is that it answers the demand for more interaction, while, because of its easy connectivity and wide compatibility, can be seamlessly integrated with existing classroom technology.
"It's an 'everybody wins' solution; teacher, student and AV manager – they all have something to gain with the D755WTIR."
Users of the Vivitek D755WTIR will benefit from features such as a 3,300 ANSI lumen brightness level with a contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and HDMI, VGA-In, Composite and Video Out are among the connectivity options.
The D755WTIR also offers the innovative DT01 'laser curtain module', which Vivitek says allows teachers and students to collaborate together on as many as simultaneous finger touch points on the screen.
Vivitek's announcement of the new D755WTIR comes shortly after the company announce the launch of two other new devices – the DX864 and the DW866 projectors.
