ViewSonic has announced the launch of a new home entertainment projector.
The PJD7822HDL Full HD 3200 lumens device has been given a lower price point so that it appeals to entry-level home entertainment enthusiasts and it features a smooth white finish that blends into any home decor alongside many brightness and connectivity options.
ViewSonic has packed 3200 ANSI lumens of brightness into the projector, which the manufacturer says delivers a crisp 1080p visual experience.
Wireless HDMI dongles such as Google’s Chromecast device are compatible with the PJD7822HDL projector, opening up programmes such as Netflix and Hulu for buyers.
Jeffrey Hsieh, senior manager of product management at ViewSonic Corp, explained that the projector is ideal for people who are looking for a device that affordable yet easy-to-set-up.
He said: "With its white finish, the projector’s sleek design seamlessly blends into the home, whether it’s ceiling mounted or used table-top. The PJD7822HDL offers a 1080p experience on a super large screen, up to 300-inches, and wireless streaming capability allows consumers to have a wider range of entertainment options."
Among the top features of the device is the convenient 'MyButton', which allows users of the projector to create customised shortcuts on the remote control. Certain projector options such as closed captioning, lamp mode, 3D sync and more can therefore be accessed very quickly.
ViewSonic has also made sure that the PJD7822HDL has 3D Blu-ray support, as well as an integrated 2W speaker and SuperColor technology to provide a wider colour range and true-to-life image projection.
