Technical solutions provider, Presentation Rentals (PR), has won high praise for the impressive projection display it put together for the recent 2013 Evening Standard British Film Awards.
The South London-based company worked with crew from the British Film Museum to fit out the Debating Chamber at London County Hall (LCH) with an array of advanced audiovisual equipment to create an atmospheric and technically superlative display.
Throughout the awards ceremony, a continuous projection was run behind the main awards presentation area, on the existing raised platform at the front of the chamber. For this projection, PR used one of its 10K Panasonic projectors to beam the content onto the existing in-house screen. The company also kept another 10K Panasonic projector running during the ceremony as hot backup.
As well as the main projection, PR also fitted out the chamber with four further 7K Panasonic projectors, beaming the same content onto four other in-house projection screens around the room. This made sure that everyone attending the awards had a clear view of all of the proceedings.
The lighting and visual designs for the evening were create by PR’s Luke Edwards, while the whole task was coordinated by PR project manager, Jeff McLaughlin.
