Sony is set to release a new mobile projector as an accessory to the PlayStation 4, allowing gamers to project video games onto a 120-inch screen.
The electronics giant announced the release of the mobile projector at a recent media event, giving journalists the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the new technology.
The mobile projector will use laser technology to project video from any device over Wi-Fi. This makes it perfect for multi-player gaming on-the-go.
What's more, with a 1920 x 720 resolution and a brightness rating of 32 lumens, the device promises to deliver quality image resolution.
One of the most attractive features of the device is its size – as one of the smallest projectors on the market it will certainly appeal to a large number of PlayStation 4 owners.
Although the projector's output audio is limited to a small internal speaker, this should not be a problem for gamers using headsets or an external speaker system.
Sony hasn't released any further information about the device, but most media outlets speculate the mobile projector will be launching in October 2015.
