Sony Digital Cinema has unveiled the SRX-R510P, the new addition to its 4K digital projector family.
Designed to bring Sony's 4K experience to owners of smaller screens and independent cinemas, the SRX-R510P is capable of projecting high-quality images on screens of up to 10m.
The new addition to Sony's 4K family shares many of the same features as its SRX-R515P predecessor, including a compact body, integrated media block and SXRD optical engine. It's also fitted with a premium-quality wide aperture lens, the projector achieves 9,000 lumen brightness paired with a contrast ratio of over 4,000:1.
Illuminated by an array of four individually-replaceable HPM (High Pressure Mercury) lamps, the SRX-R510P provides sufficient light levels for use on smaller screens while delivering consistent colour accuracy.
On top of its other features, the new 4K projector also benefits from a low cost of maintenance and provides easy lamp replacement. As well as this, it follows in the footsteps of Sony's previous projectors and provides 3D presentation capabilities in minutes with the addition of an optional dual lens and filter pack.
David McIntosh, VP at Sony Digital Cinema Europe, said: "The SRX-510P makes true 4K even more accessible without compromising all-important picture quality that’s made Sony Digital Cinema the world-leading 4K choice for exhibitors worldwide.”
