The latest education products from SMART Technologies are to be showcased at an event next week, including the 685ix system combining a SMART Board 685 interactive whiteboard and the new wall-mounted, ultra-short-throw UX60 widescreen projector.
From Tuesday (23 February), visitors to the Gulf Education Supplies Show in Dubai will also get a look at the SMART Classroom Suite interactive learning software.
With a 16:10 aspect ratio, the 685ix system is said to deliver "unparalleled image quality", virtually eliminating shadows, glare and projector light in users' eyes.
Aaron Fright from SMART Technologies notes that there is growing demand for "innovative classroom solutions" as academic institutions increasingly adopt the latest teaching and education technologies.
"SMART Technologies continues to develop hardware and software products that enhance and enrich the classroom environment," he adds.
BETT, London's recent education technology extravaganza, saw another "complete education solution package" unveiled by Panasonic.
Featuring the UB-T880 elite Panaboard with its integrated short-throw projector, the package has been singled out for its suitability for students with special needs or visual impairments who need information on the board to be clear and distraction-free.
Texas Instruments also used the event to demonstrate a version of its single-beam 3D projector system designed especially for schools.
