The new Sanyo PLC-HF1000L sees the incorporation of the manufacturer's unique QuaDrive technology into a 2K resolution projector.

The technology adds a yellow colour control device to the red, green and blue elements of the projector's 3LCD system. The company claims that by automatically controlling the amount of yellow light in the image, the colour accuracy is greatly enhanced and produces a wider colour gamut.

And with the 10,000 ANSI lumen brightness of the native widescreen 3LCD projector, it makes for a perfect development in the mid to large venue projector market.

The PLC-HF1000L contains dual high-output lamps with three internal mirrors, while the Durable Inorganic Optical System (D.I.O.S.) works in tandem with QuaDrive to produce a 3,000:1 contrast ratio.

The model's Active Maintenance Filter system monitors the intake of air volume through filter and automatically advances the filter material in order to provide a clean surface when reduced airflow is detected.

The projector allows for simultaneous display of two images, in either picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes. The colour matching function also corrects variations in hue when it is used with another projector. Edge blending also allows for multiple images to be presented on the same screen without jarring borders.
