Sanyo has launched its latest addition to the large installation market with the new PLC-HF15000L model.

The projector has been specifically tailored for optimum performance in large venues, auditoriums and digital signage and is able to project videos and pictures even in brightly lit areas.

The LCD projector has a native resolution of 2,048 x 1,080 and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. When it comes to brightness, however, the 15,000 lumens of brightness is almost unprecedented for the brand.

Its impressive brightness capability is enabled by its quad lamp set-up, making use of four 380 watt bulbs which can be replaced even when the projector is in use. A hot operation lamp exchange feature means the images will not black out when a bulb is being replaced.

The PLC-HF15000L also provides an active maintenance feature, which cleans the air filter of the projector automatically, even when the volume of air intake is low. Replacement for this filter is recommended only after 12,000 hours of use.

The projector also has advanced image blending, colour matching and horizontal and vertical keystone correction. It has an aspect ratio of 17:9 and a maximum image size of 600 inches. When it comes to connectivity, it has a plethora of options, including HDMI, DVI-D, 15-pin mini D-sub, S-video, and 5-BNC, as well as an RJ-45 LAN port, USB, 9-pin D-sub, and interface board slots.
