Ricoh Americas has launched a new interactive whiteboard projector and a video conferencing system as part of their InfoComm AV show unveiling.

The new projector whiteboard, the D5550, is designed to work with all walls and other fixed surfaces and features a 55-inch diagonal HD screen that's capable of displaying projected images.

Information displayed via the whiteboard can be viewed directly on the HD screen or through a virtual private network using a PC, tablets, smartphones and other devices, allowing users to view images from multiple locations.

Users can also view projected images on up to four whiteboards connected across a school or similar setting, allowing full 55-inch viewing between rooms.

The PJ WX414NI ultra short throw digital projector functions like a whiteboard itself and is designed to transform walls and fixed physical whiteboards into interactive displays. Users then have the ability to display, underline, highlight, annotate and share projected images using an electronic pen.

Another of Ricoh's latest releases, the P3000 communication system, can also be combined with the projector so users have the ability to create their own portable video conferencing system, which can be moved as and when required.
