Ricoh has unveiled a line of seven new projectors at this year's InfoComm event, including desk edge, short throw and standard install models.

The new projectors include the desk-edge Ricoh PJ X3351N and PJ WX3351N, both of which deliver high quality images from the edge of any table, creating a 360-degree viewing angle for projections onto the wall, ceiling or floor.

The models can also be used to grab information from almost any source, including networked Macs, PCs and smartphones. Alternatively, users can plug a USB memory drive directly into the projector.

Ricoh also debuted its new short-throw projectors, which are capable of displaying an image between 30 and 400 inches diagonal at a resolution of up to WXGA from 26 to 568 inches.

Perfect for education or business settings, the new RICOH PJ X4241N and RICOH PJ WX4241N projectors makes it possible for the presenter to stand in front of the screen without casting a shadow.

Matt Sakauchi, vice president of the visual communications group at Ricoh Americas Corporation, said these new projectors reflect Ricoh's vision of a world where employees "no longer have to take information as it comes".

He added: "Whether they want their information projected on a wall in front of a crowd, shared globally via an interactive whiteboard, or integrated into a secure on-the-fly videoconferencing session, their information will be working for them, not the other way around. That's information mobility."
