There is "room for improvement" in the latest projector from 3M, according to one recent projector review.

Sam Felsing, writing for PC Advisor, explained that the company's latest Shoot 'n Share camcorder and projector is a lot bulkier than many of its competitors. It clocks in at 2.4 inches wide, 4.9 inches tall and 0.9 inches deep and weighs around 160g, making a bit bulky for a pocket device. However, its size does allow it to pack in a two inch diagonal LCD, an HDMI port, an AV port and a MicroSD card slot.

Unfortunately, it only allows the user one video resolution of 720p at 30 frames per second, while other similar devices tend to offer 1080p and 720p at 60 frames per second. But the Shoot 'n Share can take photos at eight, five or three megapixels.

When it comes to the projector aspect of the gadget, users can enjoy a resolution of 640x480 and an image display in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It has a brightness rating of 14 Lumens, but this dims to just 12 Lumens when the device is running on battery power.

Overall, the projector built into a camcorder, while a clever idea, does not have the image quality to stand up to the competition, according to some reviews.
