The international projector brand, Optoma, has confirmed that it has purchased a major manufacturer of consumer audio products in order to offer improved audio accompaniments to its projector customers, as well as a whole new range of audio options.
The firm has purchased NuForce, which will bring with it a range of home cinema products aimed at complementing Optoma’s home projectors. The systems will also work to provide HiFi sound from a mobile device and earphones, to offer customers the same high-end, crystal clear listening experience. NuForce’s digital amplifier and DAC products will also be included in the range.
MD of Optoma EMEA, Len Carlton, told InAVate On The Net: "Audio was a logical progression for Optoma, bringing together great video with equally great sound.
"Optoma has been at the forefront of home entertainment display innovation for nearly two decades and we are very excited to now be able to complete that experience with the addition of superb audio."
Optoma’s new sound range will be available for customers to purchase across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia from the start of 2015.
