International projector manufacturer, projectiondesign, has thrown its support behind the HDBaseT interface, by launching a new high-resolution projector that is equipped with the technology.
The new projector is the product of development work by Valens Semiconductor, one of the part-founders of the HDBaseT Alliance. The model was unveiled last week at the HDBaseT stand at the Infocomm 2012 trade event, which took place in Las Vegas last week.
The marketing director of projectiondesign, Anders Løkke, said that they were extremely confident with the role that HDBaseT would play in the future of projectors and wanted to invest in that.
“The future of multimedia distribution looks to transform the AV landscape with HDBaseT, which is why we are so eager to demonstrate this connectivity at InfoComm 2012,” he explained. “We believe that HDBaseT will significantly impact the AV integrators’ complex installation requirements in a positive way – reducing costs, cabling and infrastructure requirements, and workload.”
Micha Risling, the marketing chair of the HDBaseT Alliance, said that they were delighted to have projectiondesign on board with the technology and were looking forward to working with them.
She said, “We are excited to have projectiondesign adopting HDBaseT and becoming a member of the HDBaseT alliance, a terrific addition to the growing list of early technology adopters such as AMX, Extron, Crestron, Samsung, Sony Pictures and LG.”
