Norwegian projector manufacturer, projectiondesign, has unveiled its pioneering next-generation LED consumer projector, the FS33 IR infrared ReaLED™ projector.

The device uses the second generation of the brand’s solid-state RealLED illumination engine to give users more than 50 per cent more light than similar spec projectors. The engine provides 0-100 per cent light adjustments on the visual RGB display device, meaning that even in pitch black it is possible to locate light points from various light sources in the image.

projectiondesign’s optics designer, Øyvind Svensen, said that the optics had been specifically tailorer for infra-red transmission.

“Projection lenses and optical design from projectiondesign ensure high quality imaging, enables easy colour matching, and optical alignment between channels,” he explained. “Additionally, the projector’s user-adjustable SRP™ Smear Reduction Processing virtually eliminates any smear or jitter.”

The brand’s product manager, Maria Dahl Aagaard, added, “The FS33 IR is an ideal product for night vision simulation where a long life time, low downtime, and low cost of ownership is important. The combination of LED illumination and reliable DLP® technology ensures a lifetime of up to 100,000 hours.”

The projector is fully scalable and is available in HD (1,920 x 1,080) or WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) resolutions.
