ASUS has launched a portable LED projector, the P1, which it claims will deliver bright and clear images while maintaining portability.

The device delivers 200 ANSI lumens of light and is capable of projecting in HD at 1280 x 800. Meanwhile, the projector lamp will last for an impressive 30,000 hours, thanks to the mercury-free Eco-LED light source installed in the P1, so users will be able to enjoy high quality images without worrying too much about cost.

In terms of portability, the device weighs in at just 415g and has dimensions similar to that of a CD case at 125x33x130mm. Business people who might want to take the device with them while travelling between meetings should find this useful, along with the flip-down stand that allows for instant height adjustments, and the quick power-up time of five seconds.

The P1 comes from ASUS, which has previously won a number of awards for its designs, including the Good Design Award in Japan and the iF Product Design Award in Germany. If these credentials are anything to go by, the chances are this latest projector will also deliver the goods.
