Popularity of Mitsubishi XD600U prompts new projector releases
Mitsubishi is expanding its high-brightness projector line-up with two new portable HD devices boasting 4,000 lumens: the wide-format WXGA/720p resolution WD620U model and the FD630U 1080p full HD projector.
Representatives point to the level of positive customer feedback they've received for the XD600U all-glass lens projector as inspiration for creating "more choices for higher resolution" in their selection of premium portable projectors.
The WD620U and FD630U have been designed with both education users and business professionals in mind, complementing higher-resolution laptop and desktop computers.
Each projector is said to feature a ten-watt speaker and audio mix capability, a closed captioning decoder, a visual PA feature and user-friendly menus.
Both also include a built-in RJ-45 port for remote operation and management over the internet, a LAN or WAN, while Mitsubishi's ProjectorView Global+ technology enables the status of multiple projectors, remote operation of the on/off power switch, image input switch and other functions to be monitored.
Simultaneous real-time message display and the visual PA feature mean users can remotely create and distribute messages to projectors connected to the LAN, making the device ideal for broadcasting important information to multiple rooms across a school or college.
