Panasonic has recently expanded its LCD portable projector range, with the new VW340 series.
The new series features two wireless projectors – the PT-VW345N and the PT-VX415N, and two non-wireless models – the PT-VW340 and PT-VX410. The devices are being aimed at both education and business markets.
Panasonic has claimed the projectors are "the smallest and lightest high brightness portable projectors featuring Miracast wireless capability." The new projectors offer brightness of up to 4,200 lumens and WXGA resolution, with a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 – this is double what was available with earlier models.
All the models’ lamps will last for 6,000 hours in Eco Mode and the filters are also designed to last for the same amount of time. Content can be shared from the projectors using the built-in Miracast facility – up to 1080p video files can be shared from Miracast-compatible devices.
A spokesperson from Panasonic said: “Panasonic provides multi-device wireless functionality support for various platforms including iOS, Android, Mac PC, and Windows PC that delivers more free style and collaborative meetings and group works.”
They added: "The Memory Viewer function in the VW345N and VX415N enables PC-less presentation and will project JPEG/BMP files, as well as video files.”
The VW340 series will be available from next month.
