Epson and Panasonic projectors have scooped top awards from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
The Epson EH-TW5500 was named Best Pro Photo Projector and the Panansonic PT-AE4000 was named Best Expert Photo Projector at the TIPA Awards 2010.
The organisation comprises editors from world's leading photography and image magazines. 28 editors from publications in Europe, Canada, South Africa and the United States met in New York City from 8-10 April to vote on the awards.
The EH-TW5500 was lauded for its 200,000:1 contrast ratio and 3LCD panel technology, which TIPA said deliver "images that are sharp, bright and crystal clear".
Panasonic's PT-AE4000 was described as bringing "remarkable clarity" to full-HD images and, as a home cinema system, brought "the original picture quality intended by film and TV directors to the domestic market."
Epson also received awards for its scanners and printers, making this the sixth consecutive year its products have been recognised as the industry's best.
The company's Head of PR and Communications for Europe, Mary McNulty, said: "Epson has shown year after year that we are committed to developing products that are technologically innovative and that set new standards in the industry."
"We are honored to be presented with three TIPA awards this year which will fuel our determination to continue providing our customers with outstanding digital imaging products."
