Optoma has released its latest Full HD home projector, with the device ideal for watching TV shows and movies or playing games at any time of the day.

The new HD36 from Optoma has vertical lens shift and boasts 3,000 ANSI Lumens, while the speakers are also very powerful.

Optoma’s head of product marketing Justin Halls said: "The new high specification HD36 with its sleek matte black design is one of a number of projectors we are launching in 2014, to bring the best big-screen experience straight to the home."

Users who buy the new HD36 will also benefit from a hassle-free installation process, with Optoma promising to get them up and running with the device in no time at all.

Blu-ray players, digital television set top boxes or games consoles are among the technology that can be hooked up to the Full HD projector via HDMI cables, while other standard video inputs, DVI and twin VGA ports have also been included in the machine by Optoma.

The 1.5x zoom included in the device, along with vertical lens shift, means that buyers of the new HD36 will have a wide range of options for where to place the projector in their home.

Optoma said: "The HD36 can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles."

The release of the HD36 comes shortly after Optoma revealed its new 1080p 3D Wireless HDMI system, the WHD200, which is available to buy in the UK now.
