Optoma has launched a new successor to its highly popular PK301 LED pico projector, which has a compelling new offering in the form of double the brightness of the old model.

The ultra-compact PK301+ pico projector from the popular manufacturer has been pushed miles ahead of its predecessor with its advance projection LED. New technology and light techniques mean that the beam of the projector is strong enough to create images ranging from 5 inches up to as much as 150 inches in size, in appropriate lighting conditions.

The diminutive PK301+ is also capable of creating these images while maintaining a contrast ration of 3,000:1.
The projector measures just 120 x 70 x 30 mm and weighs only 235 grams, making it ideal for people who need to be able to have projection capabilities on the go.

It has a full complement of connectivity options, providing mini-HDMI, VGA, AV and micro-USB inputs and also allows for media files to be opened directly from a microSD card of up to 32GB.

The standard battery is able to provide up to 90 minutes of continuous operation, while an optional high-capacity battery can increase the battery life by up to five hours. The projector also has a 0.5 watt speaker.
