Optoma has launched a 5,000 lumen WUXGA high performance DLP projector for the professional market.

Equipped with full HD WUXGA resolution, the EH505 projector produces 5,000 lumens of brightness and uses DLP micro-mirror technology to provide precise colour accuracy.

The Optoma projector also comes with three interchangeable lenses including a standard lens, a fixed short zoom short-throw lens and a long-throw lens. The projector design also includes extensive vertical and horizontal lens shift to ensure maximum flexibility.

The projector also includes wired remote functionality, which allows all aspects of the projector to be individually controlled without the necessity of line of sight to the projector.

The EH505 can be easily managed over LAN, whether the user is connecting one or ten projectors, and includes email alerts to inform the user of any issues the projector may have. However, Optoma have marketed the projector as requiring little maintenance overall.

The Optoma projector also includes full 3D support that is compatible with a large number of devices including PC, Blu-ray, Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox360 or any other 3D TV broadcast equipment.

The EH505 projector is expected to be on the market from August 2013.
