Onkyo has updated its range of home cinema products – but consumers can rest assured prices will remain reasonable, with nothing announced exceeding the £400 mark.
Onkyo’s home cinema receivers, speakers and Blu-ray players have all been updated. The whole range of TX receivers have all been made 3D ready, and are equipped with handling HD audio codecs, such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. TX-SR608 – the flagship model – is also THX certified.
The HTX-22HDX home cinema system has been announced for release, along with an optional add-on, in the form of the SKS-22SX speaker package. The 22HDX is a 2.1 setup comprising Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio encoding, four dedicated game modes (Rock, Sports, Action and RPG) and the addition of HDMI 1.4 to make it 3D Ready, so that consumers can get the full effect of watching movies like Avatar on their home cinema screens.
The updates will be released between the end of March and early May, so consumers won’t have to wait long for the accessories that will enable them to make the most of their home cinema screens and projectors.
