Viewsonic's new Pro8200 HD ready projector has been designed to provide premium viewing capabilities for all home cinema set ups.

The new model is the latest addition to the consumer electronics brand's Pro 8 Series projector product line and, like its series stablemates, offers 1080p resolution pictures for high-definition images in the comfort of your own home.

The projector combines the state-of-the-art DLP® operating system with BrilliantColor™ technology, and is capable of generating 2,000 lumens of brightness with a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. All these combine to allow the Pro8200 to deliver all-digital clarity in virtually any lighting environment.

The device has a native 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and advanced 7-segment color wheel, providing a stunning visual experience with accurate and vivid color reproduction.

The input and connectivity options include two HDMI 1.3 inputs that are HDCP compliant and a component video input. This allows users to expand the uses of the projector by connecting DVD players, game consoles or other display sources.

It also offers the advanced projection technology, Pixelworks®, with a high performance PW980 video processor and full RS232 control for seamless automation system integration. An eco-mode can also lower the projector's power consumption and preserve the life of its lamp.
