ViewSonic Europe Ltd has announced its new PJD8 range of ultra-short throw projectors, aimed squarely at the education audio visual market.

The new range of projectors all come with comprehensive interactivity and Advanced Connect network options, allowing for the wireless transfer of material from PCs, smartphones and tablets.

ViewSonic product marketing manager, Joss Kaldenberg, said that the new projectors offer both reflective mirror technology and direct projection technology, unlike many other ultra-short throw models.

He explained: “Paired with our brand new Advanced Connect technology and interactive features, our brand new PJD8 series deliver the best of both worlds.”

The new projector models include the PJD8353s, PJD8653ws, PJD8333s and PJD8633ws. The short distance required between the projector and the projection screen mean that the models can be mounted right above a whiteboard or screen without creating hot spots, shadows or casting bright light in front of the presenter. These capabilities make them perfect for smaller or difficult projection spaces such as classrooms and meeting rooms.

All models in the PDJ8 range come with BrilliantColor technology and between 2,500 and 3,000 ANSI lumens for bright images. They also have HDMI connectivity options, 16W built-in speakers and LAN control.
