NEC has announced a new generation of its popular P series projectors, which are tailored for use in corporate boardrooms, higher education classrooms and government training facilities.
The four new projectors in the range are the P401W, P451X, P451W and P501X models, which offer 29 per cent more brightness than their predecessors and contrast ratios of between 2,000:1 and 4,000:1.
The models all have improved connectivity options that include two HDMI connections with HDCP, which allow for simultaneous digital connections of high-definition sources, such as Blu-ray players and computers.
Rich McPherson, senior product manager for projectors at NEC Display Solutions, said that the new range demonstrates the brand’s commitment to innovation, which is matched only by the creativity of the people who use their products.
He explained, “We have designed the P Series projectors for long life with such features as the virtually maintenance-free filter, which reduces the necessity for frequent cleanings. The result is a lower total cost of ownership.”
The inclusion of ECO Mode on the projectors gives the lamps and filters life spans of as long as 6,000 hours. They are also able to start up in just 3 to 4 seconds and shut off instantly, allowing users to move on swiftly.
