New partner strategy for SMART Technologies in the UK

SMART Technologies, a leading company supplying interactive flat panels (IFPs) to the education sector, has introduced a new market model and partner strategy in the UK.

SMART will work directly with channel partners for the first time, and will provide account management and marketing services to each partner, offering both partners access to SMART solutions.

These solutions comprise access to the SMART Learning Suite which includes:
SMART Lab — enabling educators to create lesson plans and to gamify particular lessons in under five minutes.
SMART amp — web-based learning management platform enabling students to co-create assignments and promote collaboration between students
SMART Response — assessment software enabling teachers to create tests and assignments in under five minutes

Through this new strategy, gold and silver partners will be able to benefit from increased support. It will also enable customers to access SMART’s software and products, ranging from notebooks to IFPs such as the 4K SMART Board 6000 series.

Neil Gaydon, the president and chief executive of SMART Technologies, said of the announcement: “Our new partner strategy revolutionises our approach to sales throughout the UK. Our new accredited partner scheme will give customers from the education and enterprise sectors the benefit from our combination of software and hardware for collaboration and contribution.

“We’re seeing high demand for interactive flat panels throughout the UK education sector, with a 37 per cent increase in 2016. Our whiteboards, interactive displays and software help educators and businesses who believe in the power of collaboration.”
