NEC Display Solutions has launched a brand new entry-level installation projector that is able to provide bright and easily-viewed images at an affordable cost.
The PE401H projector has been designed with conference room and classroom presenters in mind, with 1080p native resolution, DLP technology, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and brightness of up to 4,000 lumens.
NEC’s senior product manager for projectors, Rich McPherson, explained: “Our new 4,000-lumen projector was designed for those customers requiring a Full HD native resolution with connections to multiple HDMI sources. With the introduction of HDMI 3D, lesson plans can be brought to life to improve learning curves in most any classroom.”
The DLP engine features Texas Instruments’ proprietary BrilliantColor technology for improved colour accuracy, while the ECO Mode allows the overall lamp life of the projector to be increased by up to 3,300 hours.
As a presentation projector, the device benefits from powerful 8W speakers, which provide the volume needed for large rooms, and Plug and Play setup, which optimises images displayed from computers and video sources.
Further affirming its green credentials, the PE401H has a direct power off function, which allows for its instant shut down and a power management facility, which sees it automatically turn off when an incoming signal is not detected.
