The new device – which was showcased for the first time at the recent IFA show in Berlin, Germany – has 1,280-by-800 WXGA native resolution along with a rated brightness of 1,000 lumens. It also has a 10,000:1 rated contrast ratio, while its LED light source is capable of lasting 30,000 hours.
The K335 projector is lightweight – weighing in at just 3.1 pounds, and measuring in at 9.1 by 6.5 inches. It is capable of projecting a 40-inch diagonal image from around 4 feet from a screen.
Users can connect to the device using a HDMI/MHL port, USB and mini-USB ports or an SD card reader, and can charge their tablet or smartphone at the same time when the projector is connected via the MHL cable.
Business users will be interested to learn that the device also comes complete with built-in Office and PDF Document Reader support and can project PDF or Microsoft Office files directly from a memory card or USB drive.
Home cinema enthusiasts will be able to make the most of the projector's ability to support DLNA for wireless multimedia content sharing, including video, music and photos, from smartphones and other supported devices.
