An online review of the new InFocus SP8600 projector has rated it very highly, awarding nine stars out of ten.

The reviewer writing the round-up on the TrustedReviews site was “awe-struck” with the projector’s value for money, giving it ten out of ten in this category. They also praised the device’s picture quality and noted that it has a surprising degree of calibration flexibility. The manufacturer is commended for offering a five-year parts warranty, three-year labour warranty and one-year lamp warranty.

The InFocus SP8600 projector includes full HD resolution, a six-segment, three-speed colour wheel and a DarkChip 3 chipset. It also has a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,800 Lumens of light output. It has a lamp-life of 4,000 hours and also features a built-in speaker so a separate sound system is not required.

The review explains, “The SP8600 also has two v1.3 HDMI inputs, a 12V trigger output, a UNISHAPE lamp that adjusts the lamp output characteristics in sync with the separate colour wheel segments, Texas Instruments’ BrilliantColour system for richer colour saturation, and the well-respected Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing engine.”

The review concludes that the SP8600 has a very good chance of being the biggest projector bargain of this year.
