Christie has unveiled its first projectors to combine 4K resolution with a high-frame rate in a new line designed for image-intensive shows.
The new D4K models feature a rate of 60 frames per second and 3-chip DLP technology and are targeted for use in amusement park attractions, exhibitions and virtual design applications.
The D4K2560 and D4K3560 projectors are the first models from Christie's new Trulife Electronics platform and come with a new range of new features. They are equipped with 3G SDI and DVI/Dual Link DIV inputs to allow users to update their sites for future projects without becoming constrained by SDVI inputs.
Mike Garrido, senior product manager of business products at Christie said: "Christie is the only manufacturer providing full 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution at 60 Hz and the reliability and image clarity of 3-chip DLP® all in one package.
"Both projectors are a quantum leap forward in video image processing and a breakthrough in high frame rate and high resolution video projection."
He added: "Our new projectors continue to demonstrate our dedication to being the industry leader with incomparable solutions and customer service."
The new models replace the D4K25 and D4K35 models and are available to ship from June this year.
