New Benq W1000+ adds to the attributes of predecessor
A full hardware revamp of one of Benq's most popular projectors has resulted in the W1000+ model, which offers higher contrast, longer lamp life and a faster colour wheel than its predecessor.
The quiet and compact DLP projector is the enhanced replacement for the W1000 projector, which was released last year. It retains its forerunner's unobtrusive design while packing it with refined features for optimum home viewing.
The model provides 1080p resolution with a 2,000 lumens lamp. There are three pre-set modes for viewing content and films, and three further modes that are user-definable. The scope of the settings allows for balance in all kinds of viewing situations, whether you want intense colours to make the most of a film, or added clarity that helps when the setting is brightly lit.
A plethora of adjustment options are available both on the projector itself and via its remote control, allowing you to reduce noise and enhance detail and individually adjust the intensity of red, green or blue tones.
The physical attributes of the projector include a full complement of connectivity options, including composite, component, S-video and two HDMI inputs. The sleek white casing can be subtly worked into any room and the recessed lens is protected from scratching and dust, without the need for a lens cap.
