A new portable projector has been unveiled by Optoma, which is capable of 1000 ANSI lumens.
The LED powered ML1000 wins on the lightweight criteria - weighing in at just 1.4kg - so will be able to fit into a laptop case or into the palm of a user's hand. It also boasts WXGA resolution, HDMI connectivity, 6 Watt stereo speakers and a touch pad interface.
Office workers can make use of the projector for meetings, and a presentation from a smartphone or tablet can be made using the iOS/Android App. Presentations can also be made via a Mac, PC or a mobile device by using the mini Wi-Fi dongle. The ML1000 is also capable of projection without any of the above items, by using its SD card slot.
The new projector comes with VGA, S-Video, and Composite connections as standard, and, as an added bonus, also comes complete with a HDMI port to allow for connectivity to a PC, laptop, games console or Blu-ray player.
It is thought that the new Optoma ML1000 LED projector price will be around the £800 mark.
