NEC reveals new HD projector for schools

NEC Display has revealed its latest HD projector with the device aimed at the education sector.

The company announced that the M402H projector will be an ideal selection for schools and colleges, as well as corporations and small to medium-sized businesses. It is a full HD, entry-level installation projector.

Richard McPherson, senior product manager of projectors at NEC Display, explained that one of the benefits of the projector is colour enhancement mode, which "creates a large colour space not traditionally found with DLP projectors, a huge benefit to people who need to be keenly aware of colour in their professions".

Mr McPherson added: "The unit’s high brightness and full HD resolution, coupled with its small chassis, make the projector ideal for a broad array of installation needs."

The new M402H projector from NEC Display has a native resolution of 1920×1080 and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, while the Eco Mode of the device increases the lifespan of its lamp by as much as 8,000 hours.

It also has features such as a built-in access point that removes the need for a laptop when using NEC DisplayNote Software, opening up the projector for use with any device using Windows, IOS and Android operating systems.

NEC Display recently revealed its latest generation of PA Series projectors, with the PA521U (1920×1200 resolution), PA571W (1280×800) and PA621X (1024×768) projectors all new.
