NEC picks up industry awards at InfoComm 2010
Leading projector and LCD display manufacturer, NEC, has received two major awards at InfoComm 2010, the world's largest professional audio-visual tradeshow.
The company's X461UN-TMX4 video wall and its VUKUNET ad-serving platform were both recognised for their quality of display and innovation of technology.
The X461UN-TMX4, a 2x2 TileMatrix™ video wall, comprising 46-inch ultra-narrow bezel displays, was deemed to be the Best Plasma or LCD display in the business, but the expert readers of Rental & Staging Systems Magazine.
The VUKUNET platform – which NEC recently made available, free of charge, to any network operator – was names the Most Innovative Digital Signage product, but the readers of System Contractor News.
NEC's vice president of marketing, Ashley Flaska, said the were tremendously appreciative for the recognition and that the two products spoke to the innovation upon which NEC has built its reputation.
She said, “We’re grateful that readers of these prestigious publications have once again acknowledged NEC products making an impact in their daily work as audio-visual professionals."
The awards are given out annually. Manufacturers submit nominations, which are then whittled down by panels of industry experts. The final result is compiled from public voting online. It is the fourth year in a row that NEC has received at least one award, taking home Best Digital Signage Product in 2009 and Best Plasma or LCD display in both 2008 and 2007.
