NEC Display Solutions of America has unveiled an affordable XGA portable projector designed for classrooms and small meeting rooms.
The V300X, part of NEC’s new V Series, is a small mobile projector that is able to accommodate larger screen sizes and, thanks to its 3,000 lumens brightness, easily tackles excess ambient light.
Lamp life lasts up to 5,000 hours in "eco mode", which also reduces noise levels, and the projector automatically switches itself off if it cannot detect an incoming signal from any of its inputs.
As well as conserving energy, this projector has also been designed to save time. Its three-second quick start function and direct power off with no cool-down required means users can pack up and go as soon as they finish their presentation.
Plus, the V300X is filter-free so there is no need to waste time monitoring and changing filters.
Rich McPherson, product manager for projectors at NEC, said, "The lightweight V300X is ideal for users that require projection on the go, with sufficient features to quickly set up, easily present and swiftly shut down.
"This model is packed with powerful technologies that greatly increase functionality without a high price tag. From its Plug and Play setup and BrilliantColor™ technology to its built-in Crestron Roomview Connected™ technology, the V300X is versatile and efficient for both classrooms and meeting rooms."
