Innovative projector developers, NEC Display Solutions, saw a 50 per cent increase in attendance at its annual showcase event this year.

The NEC Solutions Showcase 2012 drew more than 850 visitors, all keen to seen the brand’s latest developments in projectors, screens, digital signage and other display technology. Industry experts have said that the event is now a “must attend” date on the audio-visual industry calendar in the UK.

The company’s UK vice president, Simon Jackson, said that the success of the 2012 event would drive and inspire them to produce even more innovative offerings for the 2013 showcase.

“Thinking ahead to next year we will again be focused on getting the end users to see for themselves what’s new in their sector, and we already have plans to introduce one or two new zones as we see the market developing,” he told industry resource, inAVate. “The key is to remain focused on each vertical sector so we provide real depth and make the show much more experiential.”

He added that the 50 per cent increase in attendance was a reflection the “compelling medium for growth” provided at the showcase, with many of the delegates representing major blue-chip organisations who are keen to monitor the company’s development.
