Two new projectors have been launched by Mitsubishi Electric, with the classroom and small meeting rooms in mind.

The firm’s XD360U-EST and WD380U-EST projectors are the latest launches in the EST Series and feature lenses with large diameters and unique optical design results in order to deliver “large, clear images from very short throw distances”.

With a contrast ration of 3,000:1 and a brightness of 2,800 Lumen on the WD380U-EST and 2,500 Lumens on the XD360U-EST, the devices can deliver clear images even in normally-lit rooms, while the 28dB fan ensures that viewers are not interrupted by any noise from the machine during presentations.

In terms of connectivity, the EST Series features a range of inputs including VGA, USB, LAN and wireless LAN connections. If the projector is used on a network, it can show up to four PC inputs simultaneously, while a wireless input device such as a keyboard or a mouse can also be connected for remote operation.

Meanwhile, the series boasts the option of the Visual PA function, which permits network administrators to broadcast short text messages simultaneously via every projector on the network. This could be particularly useful in a classroom or other education environment where it is important to ensure that all students and pupils are well-informed.
