LG is to debut its first company laser projector specifically designed with home cinema enthusiasts in mind at global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow CES show in Las Vegas next month.

The company said the LG ProBeam delivers 2,000 lumens in compact, portable form and offers the “ideal” home cinema viewing experience.

The ProBeam comes with an advanced laser engine that produces up to 2,000 lumens of brightness so viewers can enjoy video content even when sitting in a bright room.

The projector’s slim design makes it easily portable, allowing viewers to enjoy content “anytime, anywhere”.

"As a leader in LED projectors worldwide, LG is confident its expertise in the home entertainment sector will make its first compact laser projector a hit with consumers," said Tim Alessi, head of product marketing at LG Electronics USA.

"LG is proud to continue pioneering the home cinema experience in dynamic new ways."

The ProBeam can also be paired with any Bluetooth audio product such as external speakers and headphones.

LG's new laser projector will be on display in Central Hall Booth #11100 from January 5-8 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
