LG has announced it is releasing two new Minibeam Projectors to add to its range of portable audio-visual devices.

The Minibeam Pro (Model PF1500) is being pitched by the company as the perfect portable home theatre solution, while the manufacturer says that the smaller Minibeam TV (Model PW800) will be used as an on-the-go TV solution.

In-kyu Lee, senior vice-president and head of the TV and Monitor Division at LG Electronics' Home Entertainment Company, said: "As the world's top manufacturer of LED projectors, we will continue to deliver innovative ideas for those who enjoy home entertainment but aren't looking to convert their entire living room into a screening room."

The Minibeam Pro boasts Full HD resolution and weighs only 1.5 kilograms even though it outputs 1400 ANSI lumens and can produce an image size of 120 inches diagonal.

Connectivity via Bluetooth can link the projector to devices such as sound bars, portable speakers and wireless earphones in order to provide "an excellent sound experience no matter what the environment", says LG.

LG also confirmed that both the PF1500 and PW800 models will be made available in Korea and the US initially before being introduced to markets around the world in the coming weeks and months.

The LG Minibeam TV follows on from the success of the Model PA75K, which was a bestseller after it was introduced by the firm in 2013.

It is described by LG as the first TV tuner-equipped portable projector to meet with customers on every continent.

The manufacturer said: "Viewers can exchange all their favorite TV shows wherever they are without having to sacrifice the comforts of a large 100-inch image."
