The first mobile phone to support an optional integrated pico projector has been unveiled across the Atlantic. The LG eXpo is aimed at enabling business professionals to "meet their demanding data-sharing needs while on the go" and the projector, although it must be purchased separately, can project an image onto a wall from as far as eight feet away.
Letting users share presentations, web pages, slideshows and even online videos straight from their phone, the mobile projector snaps onto the back of the handset. It weighs just 1.8 ounces and is small enough to fit in the hand.
Representatives for LG say the eXpo marks the latest smartphone operating on the most recent upgrade to its 3G network, describing it as "innovative and future-proof".
"Enabling users to meet their professional and personal computing needs from the palm of their hands, LG eXpo makes on-the-go communication an effortless luxury," remarked the mobile phone manufacturer's Ehtisham Rabbani.
A further enticing aspect of the smartphone is its Smart Sensor, which offers a fingerprint scanner bypassing the need for pin-codes or passwords to unlock the device. A slide-out QWERTY keyboard facilitates the easy editing of documents on the move.
