Luminus is set to unveil a range of its LED projectors, including a 4,000 lumen hybrid projector, designed for use in business and education situations.
The company will demonstrate the devices at the Consumer Electronics Show, allowing potential customers to see side-by-side the difference in brightness of an LED projector and a traditional lamp-based device rated at 2,200 ANSI lumens.
In addition to the high-end device, which makes use of the latest red and blue LED technology solutions, the company offers a number of ultra-portable gadgets with performance rating of up to 500 lumens.
Stephane Bellosguardo, director of global product marketing at Luminus Devices, commented: “The latest advances in brightness of our Big Chip LEDs continue to bring all the benefits LEDs have to offer to more segments and applications within the projection space, now including mainstream data projection.
“Through sustained R&D investment and product innovation, Luminus is now demonstrating that we are well positioned to expand in the mainstream front projector market which is forecast to grow to over 9 million units per year by 2013.”
